The American Legion Department of Arizona is conducting a veterans command center July 24 in Mesa to reach out to veterans in need.

The Legion will hold a town hall meeting July 28 and crisis center July 29-Aug.1 to assist veterans and family members affected by delays in accessing VA health care.

American Legion Veterans Crisis Command Centers in St. Louis, Fort Collins, Colo., put nearly 300 veterans together with Legion, VA reps.

The American Legion is the nation's largest veterans wartime service organization. The services provided include help with VA claims, assistance in finding employment, support for current members of the military, and financial advice.
